    Disposable Face Towels

Jaroll is a disposable face towel manufacturer supplying facial cleansing, beauty services, personal-care programs, and private-label lines. Buyers choose between 20 cm and 30 cm width series, a resealable travel pack, and a folded SPA and beauty format, then confirm material, GSM, texture, dimensions, fold, unit count, and packaging as one workable specification. Supply runs as OEM and private-label production rather than catalogue ordering, so the approved sample and the written specification govern each order.

    Representative configuration

    100% viscose · 30 × 25 cm · 80 GSM · EF pattern · Quarter fold

One confirmed, producible starting point for sampling and quotation on the 30 cm series. It is not the fixed specification for every face towel in this category — material, GSM, dimension, texture, fold and unit count are confirmed per project.

Where a project needs a different combination, the specification is confirmed against the sample before production.

Disposable washcloths, face cloths and towelettes: one product, three buyer vocabularies

The same nonwoven face towel arrives under different names depending on the market and on the buyer’s own catalogue. The name changes the wording of the enquiry, not the product: width, GSM, texture, fold and pack still decide what is produced.

    Disposable face towels
The term used on this page and in our specification sheets. It covers the 20 cm and 30 cm width series at 40–100 GSM, in plain, pearl or EF texture, supplied as a pop-up bag, a quarter-folded box, a resealable travel pouch, or a folded SPA pack.
    Disposable washcloths
Buyers using this term generally mean a single-use cleansing cloth for the face rather than a terry washcloth. Width, fold and unit count are therefore confirmed before quoting; in this range the 20 cm pop-up series is the closest recorded match.
    Disposable face cloths
An alternative wording for the same nonwoven sheet, commonly seen in trade enquiries. On its own the term carries no size or GSM meaning, so it is mapped to a confirmed 20 cm or 30 cm series during specification review rather than quoted from the name.
    Facial towelettes and face towelettes
The pack-facing name used in travel, hospitality and personal-care programmes, usually with a lower piece count per pack. Confirm whether the buyer expects a dry nonwoven sheet, which is what this category covers, or a pre-moistened wipe: pre-moistened wipes are a different product category and sit outside this range.

Which disposable face towels format fits your workflow?

Use the table to narrow the format. The catalog specification and approved sample still control the final material, dimensions, GSM, texture, color, and packaging combination.

    Selection criteria

How should a buyer choose disposable face towels?

    Choose by contact area

Use a 20 cm-wide format for more compact facial-care formats, or a 30 cm-wide format when the workflow calls for more coverage. The SPA and beauty format offers square and rectangular dimensions from 15 × 20 to 30 × 40 cm.

    Choose by dispensing method

Choose the 20 cm series for pop-up bag dispensing. The 30 cm series uses quarter-folded towels in boxes and cannot use pop-up dispensing. Choose the travel pack for portable, resealable storage; travel-pack towels are non-interfolded and are not designed for pop-up dispensing.

    Evaluate the full specification

Compare material, size, GSM, texture, fold, piece weight, and packaging together. GSM alone does not establish softness, absorbency, or strength.

GSM: 60–95 in practice, 80 as the common middle

The recorded option set runs 40–100 GSM, but in our own project work the weights buyers settle on cluster between 60 and 95 GSM, with 80 GSM the most frequent because it balances absorbency against price. A lighter sheet lowers cost and pack weight; a heavier one adds substance. The value is fixed with the material and texture, not chosen on its own.

Texture: plain, then F, then pearl at the same GSM

At an identical GSM the three recorded textures sit in a fixed thickness order — plain is the thinnest, F sits in the middle, pearl is the thickest. Pearl also carries a material constraint from our own production: above 80 GSM a viscose share below roughly 70% tends to fuzz, and above 90 GSM the practical floor rises to about 80% viscose.

Fold follows the market, not the preference

In our project experience a 20 cm length with a half-fold pop-up bag is common in East Asia, while a 30 cm length with a quarter-fold box is more common in Europe and North America. Neither is better; the fold decides the dispenser, the unit count and the carton. The travel pouch is the third option and is not built for pop-up dispensing.

What can be discussed for OEM or private label?

    • 20 cm and 30 cm series dimensions
    • 40–100 GSM range, subject to the final combination
    • Plain, Pearl, or F texture, with compatibility confirmed for the selected material
    • White or black, subject to project confirmation
    • 20 cm pop-up bag, 30 cm quarter-folded box pack, resealable non-pop-up travel pouch, unit count, artwork, label, barcode, and carton

Frequently asked questions about disposable face towels

Jaroll is one of the drafting organizations of GB/T 40276-2021, China's national standard for soft nonwoven towels. We have years of face-towel manufacturing experience and have produced private-label face towels for hundreds of brands worldwide. We help buyers choose materials, GSM, texture, folding and packaging, and balance softness with resistance to surface fuzzing. This experience helps avoid common specification and development mistakes. Production follows the approved sample and written specification.

In our face-towel projects, 60–95 GSM is the mainstream range. 80 GSM is a popular choice because it balances absorbency and price. Choose the final GSM together with the material, size, texture and sample performance. Our broader face-towel specification discussion range remains 40–100 GSM, with the final combination confirmed per project.

Based on our production experience with towels of the same GSM, cotton has a more textured feel and the highest cost. Viscose feels smoother and softer than cotton. Lyocell feels firmer; its absorbency and lint shedding are similar to viscose. Polyester feels soft and costs less, but absorbs less and is prone to lint shedding. In viscose/polyester blends, increasing the polyester content generally lowers cost and absorbency while making surface fuzzing more likely. The final feel and performance also depend on the blend ratio and spunlace process, so we recommend comparing approved samples before choosing a material.

No. In our own project work the workable band is 60–95 GSM, and 80 GSM is the most frequent choice because it balances absorbency against price. Above that band the sheet gains substance but also weight, pack cost and, with pearl texture, a higher viscose requirement to avoid fuzzing. The right value depends on the service and the target price, not on the number alone.

From our own production: above 80 GSM a viscose share below roughly 70% tends to fuzz, and above 90 GSM the practical floor rises to about 80% viscose. This is a production observation on our pearl pattern, not a rule for the whole industry, and it is checked again on the approved sample.

In our project experience a 20 cm length with half-fold pop-up bag dispensing is common in East Asia, and a 30 cm length with a quarter-fold box is more common in Europe and North America. The quarter-folded 30 cm towel is not designed for pop-up dispensing, and the resealable travel pouch is a third format built for portable retail rather than for a dispenser.

Yes. A project can pair a 20 cm pop-up bag with a 30 cm quarter-fold box, or add a travel pouch, and it is quoted as one bill of materials. Each format keeps its own dimensions, GSM, texture, fold and unit count, so the specification sheet lists them separately.

No. The page lists options that can be discussed, not automatically compatible combinations. Jaroll confirms production feasibility, the approved sample, and the written specification before production.

No. GSM is weight per unit area. Material, dimensions, texture, piece weight, intended use, and packaging must be reviewed together; GSM alone does not establish softness, absorbency, or strength.

Include the intended use, destination market, channel, quantity, material, size, GSM, texture, color, packaging, artwork, labels, barcode, carton needs, destination port, trade term, target timing, and required documents.

Yes. Unit packs, cartons, printing, labels, barcodes, and artwork can be discussed. The final structure, print method, quantity, and commercial conditions are confirmed per project.

In this range they are the same nonwoven sheet under a different name; the difference is the wording of the enquiry and, sometimes, the pack format. Because the term washcloth carries no fixed width or GSM, the specification is built from the confirmed 20 cm or 30 cm series rather than from the name. A pre-moistened wipe is a different product and sits outside this range.

What changed: Clarified packaging: the 30 cm series uses quarter-folded towels in boxes and cannot use pop-up dispensing; 20 cm pop-up bags and resealable, non-interfolded travel packs are separate formats. Material options and the same-GSM fiber comparison remain unchanged.
